CNIB, how many of you know what that stands for? 

Sam Nickerson will come to tell us all about it! Sam Nickerson is a 24-year-old blind university student living in Calgary. He has lived his life learning what it means to live as a person with sight loss and coming to understand it’s an integral part of who he is and how he lives. 

Sam continues to prove he is more than just that! 

He enjoys performing music, listening to audiobooks, and physical activity like climbing and hiking.

As a volunteer Ambassador with the CNIB, Sam advocates for himself and others by speaking in the community about the unique needs of those who are blind or partially sighted. 

He does this by raising awareness of resources and programs designed to help Albertans impacted by sight loss so they can live the lives they choose.
